Cheap Spanish Property Costa del Sol

"Cheap Property" doesn't have to mean poor quality, we think of a "cheap property" more along the lines of being a bargain, costing less than its market value and value for money.

Bargain Property Costa del SolWith the current economic slowdown worldwide, personal reasons for selling (distressed sales) and bank repossessions - the market is now flooded with cheap properties on the Costa del Sol, however ... it is knowing what is cheap and what isn't and that's where Costa del Sol Estate comes in!

Our knowledge of the house pricing on the Costa del Sol helps us to compare property prices from the Spanish Property boom to current pricing and bank valuations now hence giving us a better understanding what is a cheap Spanish property and what is not.

Are properties on the Costa del Sol cheap?

In comparison to two to three years ago, yes property prices have fallen to much more reasonable valuations and prices, however there are many that still think that SOME resorts and locations still need to come down further in price. When listing properties to offer to our clientele, we ensure that the property in question is value for money or a high quality product that we ourselves are proud to promote, over valued properties are not of interest to our company or our principles.

Cheap Property Costa del SolIf you compare the Costa del Sol to other regions then yes prices are indeed higher, however this is for obvious reasons. The Costa Blanca, Murcia, Granada (inland and coast), Valencia and Almeria have much cheaper properties, but you pay for what you get in the end, as the saying goes!

Then look at Madrid and Barcelona where property prices are four times as much as the Costa del Sol, it is all about supply and demand ... and the two largest cities of Spain compare to those of London or Paris, Moscow or Berlin. The demand is still very much here on the Costa del Sol, the infrastructure, amenities, local services and public services are of much higher standard than any of the coastal locations which have benefitted from the influx of foreign buyers coming to Spain, unlike some areas that grew by unprecedented levels during the property boom where the sole purpose was to build, build and build ... then not implementing the correct infrastructure to cope with new unfound levels of residents. These areas have suffered due to the poor planning and local government organisation of building in their regions.

Will property prices continue to fall? Even the financial experts can not foresee the future of property valuations, however if you are serious about purchasing a Spanish Property then now is definitely the time to be looking and making sure that you are in a financial situation to move once the perfect property for you arises so you are able to act fast to avoid disappointment.
